Applause Honeycomb Shades Features
Originally developed in 1985 in response to the energy crisis of the 1970s, honeycomb shades (also called cellular blinds or shades) continue to be popular today. They offer superior privacy, insulation, and light control, and they’ll help keep a room cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Applause Honeycomb Shades offer energy savings at an affordable price while still delivering the quality of the Hunter Douglas brand. Unlike some other brands of cellular shades, Applause is created with a double cell, which offers increased insulation over regular single-cell construction. Applause can be customized for windows of specialty shapes, including arches, angles, ovals, skylights, and more.
Vertical Openings
If you need a treatment for a vertical opening, such as sliding glass doors or a French or patio door, Hunter Douglas offers Applause in a vertical orientation using the Vertiglide™ operating system. With this option, you can use the same material for both a regular-size window and a larger opening.
Lift Systems
Hunter Douglas offers a variety of lift systems, from standard manual operations to motorized systems. They all offer pet and child safety, and some offer more. UltraGlide® is a retractable cord system that lets you raise and lower your shades with no ugly, dangling external cords. LiteRise® is a cordless system that lets you gently raise and lower your shades with slight pressure from your hand. PowerView® motorization is a wireless operating system that can be used with a PowerView® Pebble® remote or with your mobile device or tablet, even if you’re not at home.
